Rowling donates £50,000 to aid victims of child slavery
Author J.K. Rowling has donated £50,000 (~$82,000) to help victims of child slavery. The donation will fund the Centre of Hope in the Philippines, a refuge for victims of people trafficking.
The charity have helped save up to 60,000 children and women from prostitution and exploitation.
The founder of the campaign, Cecilia Flores-Oebanda said she hopes to personally thank Rowling for her contribution.
“I pray that she knows that this donation has really gone a long way. It has made so many people happy. We have put her name in the building in gratitude for what she donated to us.”
Thanks to Sarah!
