“Deathly Hallows – Part 2” passes “Prisoner of Azkaban,” has grossed $834 million worldwide
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 brought in $48 million over the weekend here in the United States, coming in behind Captain America: The First Avenger.
The film dropped 72 percent at the box office, the worst for any Harry Potter film.
However, according to Box Office Mojo, the fall is due more to the film’s record-setting opening than how movie-goers felt about the film.
The final installment is still topping the charts overseas, and through Sunday has made $834 million worldwide, passing Prisoner of Azkaban.
