High School plays Quidditch to raise money for “Project Bread”
This Friday, September 23rd, the Swampscott High School in Swampscott, Massachusetts, will be hosting a Quidditch Tournament to raise money for a charity called ‘Project Bread.’ This tournament is being conducted by members of the SHS Harry Potter Alliance: PotterWatch at the Lower Jackson Field from 2:30 – 4:30pm.
What is Project Bread? It is an organization dedicated to “alleviating, preventing, and ultimately ending hunger in Massachusetts”. In this economy, there are many people living paycheck to paycheck or under the poverty line; therefore, events like this that use the power of ‘Harry Potter’ and the Harry Potter Alliance are excellent to hear about.
How can you use the power of ‘Harry Potter’ themes in your community?
