Fan Art of the Week: ‘Albus Dumbledore’
Jean sent this week’s fan art submission to us, and it is a wonderful portrayal of a notable headmaster, ‘Albus Dumbledore,’ which was done in acrylic paint on a black gesso background. To see the full size image, just click on the image below.
Noah’s Notes: Today we have a very nice reminder of the Richard Harris-Dumbledore combination of Movies 1 and 2. Jean’s style of painting really comes out in this piece; particularly in the way she uses different colors to form the complexities of the face. Similarly, the hat is a collection of reds and oranges, yet for all the color, this painting almost looks like a realistic photograph. Well done, Jean!
You can learn how to submit your own Harry Potter fan art to us as well as view our archives by heading to our Fan Art Section. Perhaps you can have your art piece highlighted on the front page, just like Jessica!
