NY Times spotlights Emma Watson on ‘Perks of Being a Wallflower’
A recent article in the New York Times features the excitement and passion that the ‘Harry Potter’ starlet Emma Watson had while filming her latest project, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, which is due out in theaters in 2012.
In particular, Emma enjoyed so many experiences that as a film star for over a decade she missed out on. She stated:
“Oh my goodness, so many firsts, I did the prom! We all get dressed up and we go in a limo, and get photographs. It’s been really fun for me to get to graduate. Eating in the school canteen; all these things that I’ve always sort of said to my American friends, ‘Oh, that looks amazing, that looks so fun, I’m jealous.’ And I get to do it for this movie.”
Emma also goes on to tell how she did a stunt that the production team really didn’t want her to do, but she insisted on doing it – standing up in the back of a pickup truck late at night and riding through the Fort Pitt Tunnel, with the city lights of Pittsburgh shining on the other end. Emma said, “Oh my God, it was so fun. One of the best nights of my life, without a doubt.”
