Video: Andrew Slack of the HPA inspires during recent speech in Rome
Andrew Slack, co-founder of the Harry Potter Alliance, recently gave a brilliant and inspiring speech in front of a coprorate media team from TEDxTransmedia.
In Andrew’s speech, he talked about reading Harry Potter for the first time, and after finishing the first chapter, like many of us, was hooked for life. Using the inspirations of the series, Andrew created a muggle version of “Dumbledore’s Army,” which to date has given over 90,000 books to third world countries; sent five cargo planes filled with medical supplies to Haiti; fought against Global Warming, homophobia, depression, child slavery, and a host of other ongoing issues in today’s world.
Andrew leads the way in explaining why thousands of the fans of Harry Potter today have been able to band together and standup against the issues facing our world.
