Fan Art of the Week: “Skele-Gro”

Our next fan art submission of the week comes to us from Sandra, and it’s a pen-and-ink drawing of a ‘Skele-gro bottle,’ the artist’s favorite Harry Potter prop. You can see the full size image of the piece by clicking on the thumbnail below.

Noah’s Notes: I’m immediately struck by the intricate detail that went into this composition. The miniscule circles and stars, the abstract designs growing out around the bottle – this must have been hours of work, but these additions give the Skele-gro an eerie, magical feel that is really cool. The shading around the top of the bottle, (the skull-cap, specifically), was also really well done, and it’s such that I feel like I could almost touch the bottle, (it looks so real), were it not inside my computer screen. Great work Sandra!
