While visiting the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios a couple of weeks ago for the Home Entertainment Harry Potter Celebration event, Rupert Grint spoke to MTV News regarding the revelation that author J.K. Rowling made regarding the possible death of Ron Weasley.
Many of the fans of the Harry Potter series had wondered if one of the trio would be killed during the final battle, in fact, MuggleNet took a close look at this in the book, What will Happen in Harry Potter 7; however, the fact remains that in the end, each of the trio survived.
During an interview featured on the recently released Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 Blu-ray between Dan Radcliffe and J.K. Rowling, Ms. Rowling stated that she had considered killing off the beloved character of Ronald Weasley. When asked if Rupert heard this revelation, he said:
“When the last book came out, there was a lot of hype about one of me, Emma or Dan dying – which I was quite up for, to be honest…I didn’t really know about that. I didn’t know how close I got, I suppose it was always in the back of your mind, whether you’d make it to the end. But it wasn’t something I really dwell upon. I just did the film at the time and enjoyed it.”
How would the death of Ron, or any of the trio, affected you in the end of the series?
