Some of our favorite “Harry Potter” characters that were not in the films

A new article from On The Box has examined some of our favorite characters from the books that didn’t make it into the movies.

While the filmmakers had to keep the story focused on Harry’s journey throughout the eight films while also keeping them around the two and a half hour mark, some of our favorite characters had to be sacrificed ‘for the greater good.’

The list shows a few characters that were actually cast for the films but were ultimately cut. One notable character missing from their list however, is Peeves the Poltergeist, who was actually cast for the first film and was going to be played by Rik Mayall.
