“Critics Choice” releases Oscar predictions: “Deathly Hallows – Part 2” barely mentioned
Harry Potter fans may be seriously disappointed, if not completely upset, by the list of nominations given for the upcoming Academy Awards as predicted by the Broadcasting Film Critics Association – Critics Choice website.
At the top of the list for the Critics Choice nominations for Best Picture are The Artist and Hugo, followed by The Descendents, Drive, Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close, The Help, Midnight in Paris, Moneyball, The Tree of Life, and War Horse.
What seems to be missing from all of the top categories? Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2. In fact, the Critics Choice site only lists the Deathly Hallows in the categories of Best Art Direction, Best Makeup, Best Sound, and Best Visual Effects.
If this listing of nominations proves to be anything close to what is revealed next month, then there will be some extremely disappointed and upset Potter fans around the world.
These predictions seem to be echoed by the San Diego Film Critics nominations as well, as they also released their predictions for the upcoming Oscars.
