MuggleNet’s 2011 Year in Review video
Yesterday, we shared with you our 2011 Year in Review timeline of all of the great Harry Potter news from the past year. Today we are pleased to share with you our MuggleNet 2011 Year in Review video compilation.
The video shows highlights of the past year including the DVD release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 and the release of the finale, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2, which finished at No. 3 on the All-Time World Box Office List with over $1.3 billion behind only Avatar and Titanic.
Also included is a look back at the wrap of filming on the Harry Potter series at Leavesden Studios, the massive premiere that took place in London on July 7th, the introduction of J.K. Rowling’s Pottermore website, and the announcement of the plans to construct the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal Studios Hollywood.
Daniel Radcliffe’s Broadway performance in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, which gained him the title of Entertainment Weekly’s Entertainer of the Year award, as well as Broadway.com’s “Star of the Year.”
The opening of MuggleNet’s SnitchCenter for complete coverage of Muggle Quidditch including footage from the Fifth Annual International Quidditch Association‘s Quidditch World Cup that took place in November on Randall’s Island in New York.
The release of the massively successful video game LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7. The official announcement of the opening of Warner Brothers Studio Tour: The Making of Harry Potter, which will welcome fans to Leavesden Studios beginning March 31, 2012.
And, the Warner Bros. Harry Potter Home Entertainment Celebration that took place at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Islands of Adventure in Orlando, Florida, this past November and had our own Eric Scull interview members of the Harry Potter cast and crew.
