Actress Rose Hemingway discusses sharing stage and friendship with Dan Radcliffe

In her first year on Broadway, Rose Hemmingway discusses a few of her personal memories spent with her fellow star, Dan Radcliffe, from the hit musical How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, and also how she looks forward to being alongside Darren Criss and Nick Jonas next.

Rose Hemmingway, who portrayed the sweet secretary Rosemary Pilkington in the show How to Succeed, said 2011 was a year full of incredible memories for her. She and Dan became friends along with Rose’s husband of one year, Geoffrey, and they began to hang out. One day, she and husband Geoff took Dan to their favorite soul food place and watched as the line cooks almost fainted at the sight of Harry Potter himself eating their Mac and Cheese. Then Dan returned the favor by taking Rose and Geoff as his guest to the Premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 in New York City. Rose said of Dan, “He’s so down to earth, sometimes you actually forget he’s Harry Potter!”

The subject of kissing Dan Radcliffe often comes up in conversation about the show, to which she will reply with the answer her husband came up with, “It’s magical.”

As we reported previously, Darren Criss began his 3-week tour as the lead role J.Pierrepont Finch alongside Rose, which will then be followed by Nick Jonas on January 24.
