“Deathly Hallows – Part 2” shortlisted for Oscars nomination in Best Makeup
According to a new report, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 has been shortlisted for a nomination at the 84th Academy Awards for the Best Makeup Award.
On Saturday, January 21, all members of the Academy’s Makeup Branch will be invited to view 10-minute excerpts from each of the seven shortlisted films. Following the screenings, members will vote to nominate three films for final Oscar consideration.
The final nominations will be announced live on Tuesday, January 24 at 5:30AM PT in the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater. While the Academy Award will be presented to the winner on February 26 at the Kodak Theater at Hollywood & Highland Center and televised on the ABC Television Network. The awards ceremony will be televised live in more than 255 countries worldwide.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has listed the seven shortlisted nominations as follows:
- Albert Nobbs
- Anonymous
- The Artist
- Gainsbourg: A Heroic Life
- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2
- Hugo
- The Iron Lady
