Quidditch arrives at Oxford University: Oxford University in England has developed a fantastic muggle quidditch program and looks to compete on this years international stage for possible entrance into the next Quidditch World Cup in April 2013. (Yes, Emma Watson does attend Oxford, but don’t expect to see her on the quidditch pitch anytime soon – after all Hermione isn’t a quidditch player).

Pittsburgh University wins Ives Pond Invitational: Last weekend, Buffalo, New York was home to the Second Annual Ives Pond Invitational tournament with twelve teams attending the event. University of Pittsburgh defeated RIT (Rochester Institute of Technology) in the semi-final match 100-10 and then defeated the host team Ives Pond Quidditch by a score of 90-50 in the finals. Congratulations Pittsburgh!

Boston University hosts Winterfest Tournament this weekend: If you are in the New England area, be sure to attend the Boston University Winterfest Event from 1-4pm today for the Second Annual Winterfest Quidditch Tournament. The tournament is being held at Nickerson Field.

Utah Snow Cup: The Utah Snow Cup is scheduled for February 4th from 11:00am-4:00pm at the Smoot Park in Centerville, Utah (1550 North Main Street). Admission is FREE! Additionally, IQA Commissioner and CEO, Alex Benepe, will be attending this event.
