MuggleNet Throwback: The Woes of Ron Weasley
While Harry is still trying to acquire the sluggish memory from Professor Horace Slughorn, Ron Weasley celebrates his 17th birthday. Believing it was one of his birthday gifts, he opens Harry’s box of chocolates from Romilda Vane that are filled with love potion, eats them, and falls madly in love with Romilda. Harry takes Ron down to the Potion Master chambers and Professor Slughorn whips up the antidote.
While celebrating Ron’s birthday with a toast of mead that was poisoned, Ron begins to convulse. Harry saves his life with a Bezoar, and Ron winds up in the hospital wing the rest of the day. He expresses his mumbled desire for Hermione, which ends the Lavender Brown and Won-Won relationship.
Quite a day for the birthday boy. Happy Birthday Ron Weasley!
