Video: Dan Radcliffe at the Madrid Premiere of “The Woman in Black”
Thanks to our friends at HarryPotterLA.com who were present at the Madrid, Spain premiere of The Woman in Black, we have two new interviews of Daniel Radcliffe and director James Watkins on the red carpet.
During Dan’s interview, he spoke of his last five weeks of promotions for the film and if he was nervous doing the bits on Saturday Night Live:
“It’s been a crazy five weeks, and I got to do a lot of really fun new things. Actually, the most terrifying thing was doing ‘Live! With Kelly’. That was actually much scarier than ‘Saturday Night Live’ because at least you get rehearsals.”
On what actually scares Dan in real life and how he prepared to be scared for the film, Dan stated:
“Actually cockroaches creep me out, but I do not believe in ghosts in reality and in terms of preparing to act scared, I had ten years of very good training opposite Ralph Fiennes and others.”
When director James Watkins was asked about casting a high profile actor like Daniel Radcliffe, he stated:
“When I met him, he was really intelligent and he understood the script and the part and it was really about saying look, this is a new part and to try and create a fresh part, as with any actor, to the best of our abilities so that people can see him as somebody else. You know, he looks very different and the performance is very different as it should be because it’s a different role.”
Again, thank you to our friends at HarryPotterLA.com for sending us the video clips.
