Production Designer Stuart Craig describes the details of designing the Hogwarts model
A new video interview with Stuart Craig describes the in-depth detail involved in creating the Hogwarts model that fans will be able to see during the Warner Bros. Studio Tour: The Making of Harry Potter beginning on March 31.
From the very beginnings of making the Harry Potter film series, Stuart Craig’s team designed Hogwarts based on the initial drawing given to him by author J.K. Rowling, which showed the layout of the land including Hogwarts, the Black Lake, Hagrid’s Hut and the rest of the grounds surrounding the castle.
The overall amount of work that the team put into the construction of this massive model equates to nearly 75 years in man-hours to create. Truly a remarkable feat!
