Steve Kloves to write and direct Live-Action ‘Jungle Book’ adaptation
Steve Kloves was the notable screenwriter for seven of the eight Harry Potter films. He is now slated to write and direct the Live-Action version of Rudy Kipling’s The Jungle Book under the Warner Brothers banner.
This will not be Steve’s first directorial film as he has previously directed The Fabulous Baker Boys and Flash and Bone. We are also fairly certain that his version of The Jungle Book will be something that adults and kids can both enjoy. There is no word yet as to the actual expected release date for this film.
Additionally, according to a report by Variety, David Yates – the director for the final four Harry Potter films – has come to agreement with Warner Brothers to direct another movie for Warner Brothers, which he signed under a first-look deal. We will report more on this film as information becomes available. However, David Yates will be focusing his efforts on A Voice in My Head, an adaptation of Emma Forrest’s memoir that has Emma Watson attached.
