Emma Watson states “Reality TV” helped her prepare for “The Bling Ring”
Emma Watson is in this week’s issue of Entertainment Weekly in which she described how she prepared for the role of Sofia Coppola’s film The Bling Ring.
Emma stated, “I just watched a ton of reality TV. I was doing an English course [at Brown University]. So I would go from reading Virginia Woolf to [watching] Kim Kardashian. I kind of loved it, this mix of super-high and super-low culture. I think it was a nice balance.”
The Bling Ring is inspired by a true story about a group of teenagers who commit a ring of celebrity burglaries. They are best known as the “Hollywood Hills Burglar Bunch”, as they were caught raiding the houses of some very famous stars including Orlando Bloom, Paris Hilton, Rachel Bilson, Megan Fox and Lindsay Lohan.
Reminder: You can see Emma at the MTV Movie Awards show as she will be introducing the official trailer for her film Perks of Being a Wallflower on June 3 alongside co-stars Logan Lerman and Ezra Miller. The film itself is scheduled for limited release on September 14.
