Release date for “Perks of Being A Wallflower” is now set for September 14
MTV has officially reported the story that the film will be a limited release. But we are still excited to see this film, especially after all the controversy surrounding the MPAA’s rating earlier this year.
The film is adapted from Stephen Chbosky’s coming-of-age tale, which follows Charlie (Logan Lerman) as he navigates the trials of high school with the help of his new upperclassmen friends, Sam (Emma) and Patrick (Ezra Miller). They bring Charlie out of his shell and make him feel like he’s part of something bigger than himself. But as he begins to fall for Sam, things get complicated-such is the life of a teenager.
Emma herself is excited as she stated, “I feel incredible about it. I feel like I’ve been waiting for ‘Perks.’ I was waiting for this story, for this script, for this moment, for these people to do it with me. I’m so glad I didn’t do anything that I didn’t care about.”
We also reported that Emma herself, along with her co-stars Ezra and Logan, will be at the MTV Movie Awards to premiere the first official trailer for the movie on June 3rd.
