First off, how did you become a Harry Potter fan?
I first became a fan when a dear friend lent me her copy of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (as it’s called here in Australia).
Now that all eight films are complete, how to feel about the movie series as a whole? Favorite? Least favorite?
I am saddened that the movies are over but what a great ride it was, I now have my eight year old into Harry Potter and now I have my three year old to join my love of all things Harry Potter.
If you could have one prop from any of the eight films, what would you choose and why?
If I had any props from any of the movies it would be Snape’s costume and wand I love his character but a real Marauder’s Map would be awesome too!
There are so many book storylines that were cut out of the movies due to time, flow, etc. If you could bring one back, which would it be?
The female elf who assisted Harry, you felt for her character then she wasn’t even made.
Which book do you believe was best translated to film?
I believe the best book translated to movie was the Prisoner of Azkaban the way the dementors were portrayed in the movie really did give the dark undertone that the movie needed to separate from the child to the teenager… very dark indeed.
Which character is your favorite from the books, and/or from the films?
My favorite character is a toss-up between Snape and professor Lupin, in the books Snape’s darkness and then goodness is so well written and also played in the movie and as for Lupin… he is a werewolf… too cool and he marries Tonks.
Which Harry Potter event/release are you most looking forward to in 2012?
My son and I fly across Australia to Sydney to see the Harry Potter Exhibition… it was so fantastic and my son enjoyed it too… the fact I got to stand in front of props and really see the detail was just great and so worth the three-hour plane trip.
Do you have anything else you’d like to add? Maybe a theory you still believe to be true, a shout-out, praise for yours truly?
I love MuggleNet! why because it gives an outlet for fans of all ages and no matter where they come from they can connect. I may be a mother who is 33 across the ocean but on this site, I am another Harry Potter fan x
