MuggleNet SnitchCenter continues its coverage of Muggle Quidditch with news and information
Over the last few months, MuggleNet SnitchCenter has been idling awaiting the start of the new season of Muggle Quidditch. Now that the teams are back at school and beginning to once again schedule tournaments around the world, MuggleNet is ready to bring you the news and highlights each week.
To begin with, the International Quidditch Association (IQA) has had some new positions filled:
- Zach D’Amico from Villanova University has been chosen as the Junior Director chair for the IQA Board of Directors. This is a new position that will allow a current player to provide necessary Muggle Quidditch input. Congratulations Zach!
- Harrison Homel has been selected as the new Teams Director for the IQA, replacing Kristen Howarth, who has been in this position since its inception. Congratulations Harrison!
On the actual Quidditch front:
- The Northeast Regional Tournament has been officially announced to take place November 17-18 at Fort Adams State Park in Newport, Rhode Island. You can check out their Facebook Page for updates and information.
- The Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship website has been launched. Teams heading to this tournament can get all of the current news and updates, registration, hotel, travel details and more.
- The 2nd Annual Canadian Cup is set to be held on November 11th with the host team to be Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario.
MuggleNet SnitchCenter is still in the process of updating its sections in preparation for the 2012-2013 season. Once completed, we will have continuing coverage with news, videos, scores, and team rankings as we head into the Quidditch World Cup that will be held in April 2013 in Kissimmee, Florida.
