Special IQA Videos: Quidditch World Cup V Semi-Final and Final matches from multiple camera angles
If you were one of the 20,000 fans in attendance at the Quidditch World Cup last November in New York you realize just how competitive this sport is. If you were not there and have never watched a live Muggle Quidditch match then these videos, which were just now released by the IQA, will show you what you are missing and why you need to get to a live match soon.
Watch the 2 Semi-Final matches here: Minnesota vs. Florida | Texas A & M vs. Middlebury
These videos were provided by the International Quiddtich Association and were edited by IQA video editor Johnathan Segarra. The on-site video was directed by Jared Kowalczyk who had a crew of IQA volunteers manning the cameras in the freezing cold weather of New York.
From the IQA article:
Between the multiple cameras, running scoreboard, and power-play notifications, this is by far the best footage of real-life quidditch and they now comprise the most exciting, full-games available to watch online.
Jonathan has worked through many glitches and kinks in editing, syncing, exporting, and uploading these three videos, and he is now working full-steam ahead on all of the footage from Field 4 on Day 1 and 2 of the fifth annual World Cup, which will be released as soon as it is available.
The Muggle Quidditch league is in full swing around the world with over 700 teams that have formed in multiple countries. The competition this year is sure to be intense as teams must now qualify to be given a bid for entry into the Quidditch World Cup VI, which takes place in Kissimmee, Florida next April.
