“Harry Potter” fans gathered in Central Park New York for special dedication to JK Rowling
On October 16, fans of author J.K. Rowling met in New York City to share in what was coined “RowlingCon 2012” as the author was promoting her recently released adult novel The Casual Vacancy.
Over 2,000 fans met at the David H. Koch Theatre to listen to the author talk about her writings of both the Harry Potter series and her new novel. But for some fans, it was the opportunity to celebrate the author’s arrival in the United States with a personal message.
Around one hundred dedicated fans met in Central Park at the beautiful and scenic Bethesda Fountain to pose for an organized JKR Pre-Event. Fans were organized on the stairs to form the letters “J.K. Rowling in NYC!” and photographed by MuggleNet staffer Kat Miller.
These images were then presented to J.K. Rowling during the signing event to which she showed extreme gratitude for the remarkable effort by her loyal followers.
Now, thanks to the talents of MuggleNet’s Eric Scull, these images have been properly edited so you, the fans, can enjoy the unique creativeness that Harry Potter fans showcase on a regular basis. Just head over to the JKR Pre-event. We will also be sharing these images on the MuggleNet Facebook page. Feel free to tag yourself in the images.
