MISTI-Con opens the call for proposals in Formal Programming
The entire Margate Hotel will be transformed into a Harry Potter themed weekend and there will be no Muggles allowed. Many of the MuggleNet staff will be attending and participating in a variety of programming including a LIVE Alohomora! podcast show, MuggleNet’s Family Feud and Jeopardy games and much more.
Now, the convention is calling for Formal Programming proposals to be submitted until November 30. From the MISTI-Con newsletter:
- MISTI-Con will explore the idea of the Wizarding World after the war against Voldemort ended and, likewise, seeks to encourage the expansion and flourishing of the HP fandom now that the books and movies have all been concluded. As such, we are calling upon you to express yourself and delve further into your interests within the series.
- MISTI-Con also explores a role-playing theme of the Ministry recruiting and training talented wizards and witches to fill much needed positions in the magical government ranks. MISTI-Con’s Formal Programming team will be selecting various tracks that submitted programming might fit into so that con goers can fulfill requirements to get hired on into various Ministry departments.
- The MISTI-Con committee would like to invite you to submit proposals for any panels, lectures, round-tables, presentations, interactive workshops, etc. that relate to the universe of Harry Potter.
To submit your proposal, simply fill out the Call for Proposals Form.
Are you registered yet? If not, head on over to the registration page area and do it today. This event will sell out fast as there is a maximum of 500 attendees permitted to fill the entire resort.
