‘Harry Potter’ actress Julie Walters to take part in fundraising performance this Sunday
According to an article in the Daily Mail, stage and film actress Julie Walters – who portrayed Molly Weasley in the Harry Potter series – will co-star with Patrick Stewart for a special fundraising performance of Agatha Christie’s “The Mousetrap” this Sunday, November 18, at the St. Martin’s Theatre.
St. Martin’s Theatre is celebrating it’s Diamond Anniversary (60th year) of Agatha Christie’s “The Mousetrap”, which is the longest running show of any kind with over 24,000 performances. It is quite simply a great piece of theatrical history because of what it is, a whodunit written by the greatest crime writer of all time.
Christie’s grandson Mathew Prichard, who was given the rights to “The Mousetrap” for his ninth birthday, will join producer Stephen Waley-Cohen in unveiling a memorial to Dame Agatha at St Martin’s Cross. It takes the form of a giant book containing her portrait.
