‘Potter’ producer David Heyman takes on a ‘furry’ project
Based on the beloved book series by Michael Bond, Paddington Bear has been revealed as one of Harry Potter producer David Heyman’s latest projects. The books, which made their debut in 1958, tell the story of Paddington, who is raised by his aunt Lucy. Lucy, after being inspired by an English explorer, teaches Paddington “to cook marmalade and listen to the World Service.” After being smuggled on a boat into England, Paddington begins his search for the explorer who motivated his aunt. You can read the full synopsis from HeyUGuys.
The film, directed by Paul King (The Mighty Boosh), will be CG-animated and feature Frances de la Tour, who portrayed Madame Maxime in the Harry Potter films, among the cast. Paddington will be released in UK and US theaters on November 26, 2014. After being one of leaders of the Potter films, we can be sure to expect great things from Heyman’s future projects.
