SnitchCenter update: Northeast Regional Championships looking for volunteers
MuggleNet SnitchCenter will be providing updates throughout the month as the Regional Championships take place. This past weekend included the Mid-Atlantic Championships that took place in Roanoke County which featured 21 teams competing for the rights to gain a bid into the Quidditch World Cup being held in Kissimmee, Florida next April.
As for the Northeast, the International Quidditch Association‘s Northeast Regional Championship Committee is looking for volunteers to help them out at the upcoming tournament, taking place from November 17-18 at the Fort Adams State Park in Newport, RI. They are looking for fun, diligent volunteers who can help out with hospitality, gameplay, marketing, logistics, and more. This is a great way to meet new friends and also get a sneak peek on how the IQA runs a large event like Regionals.
If you’d like to volunteer in the name of Quidditch, you can fill out this form, or contact Kathryn Mudgway, the IQA NERCC Volunteer Manager, for more details.
Additionally, the IQA has just released new information on the structure of Division-2 bids to the Quidditch World Cup, and this will include 20 official member teams on a first come-first serve basis. For all of the information, head on over to the IQA website.
