Confirmed: Rupert Grint filming “Harry Potter” mini-movie
Yesterday, we reported a story that appeared in The Sun regarding Helena Bonham Carter filming scenes as Bellatrix Lestrange for what they termed a “mini-movie” that would be shown in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme parks.
Today, representatives of Rupert Grint confirmed to Snitchseeker, that he is also involved in the filming of these scenes. The question that still remains is which ride, or even which park, this mini-movie will be used at?
Some fan sites believe that the film will be used for the “rumored” Gringotts Cart ride that is being constructed at the expansion area of Universal Studios Orlando, which will also house Diagon Alley. Other sites believe it is for the new Wizarding World theme parks being built at Universal Studios Hollywood and/or Universal Studios Japan.
The Gringotts Cart ride certainly makes sense as Rupert could be disguised as Dragomir Despard and Helena Bonham Carter could be playing Hermione disguised as Bellatrix Lestrange for the Gringotts break-in.
Another possibility is that this mini-movie would be shown on the Hogwarts Express ride. It was rumored, that the ride between the Islands of Adventure where Hogwarts and Hogsmeade currently reside and the new expansion area where Amity Island was formerly located would include windows that are actually movie screens to showcase the Scottish Landscape to passengers. This would be a perfect place to house a Death Eater attack, which occured in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows when Luna Lovegood was taken by the Death Eaters (book, not movie). But then this may not fit in with Rupert’s role very well.
Questions, questions, questions!!!
What is your opinion? Do you feel this mini-movie would be used on the Gringotts ride, the new parks, or possibly the Hogwarts Express? Only time will tell us what the right answer is. For now, it’s just fun to have some conjecturing and discussion on the subject.
