Rupert Grint departs from Ron Weasley image with new thriller film
The members of the Harry Potter trio have done their best to showcase not only a wide range of acting talents but also what appears to be a purposeful departure from the wholesome images they earned on the set of the Potter films.
Previously, we reported on Dan Radcliffe’s selections of roles from psychotic stage performances (Equus), to Broadway singing and dancing (How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying), and now a gay poet complete with a homosexual sex scene in Kill Your Darlings. We also reported on Emma Watson’s projects, which are usually wholesome, but soon she will be seen in a role that is as far away from the real Emma as possible when she portrays a real-life criminal in The Bling Ring.
Now, Rupert Grint’s new role will be that of a drug addict porn star in the film The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman.
