Gamer builds Hogwarts castle in “Minecraft”
Minecraft, first released for PC users in 2009, is an online interactive game where players work together to build the landscape of the game itself (using an assortment of textured cubes) and then fight off monsters and go on adventures within that environment. Today we are featuring gamer and ‘Potter’ fan SamCordingley, who has opted to model his Minecraft landscape after Hogwarts castle.
Some of these images capturing Hogwarts at night, the Great Hall, the view from Hagrid’s Hut and the clock tower are visually stunning, and you can imagine the level of detail and the sheer amount of cubes that went into producing this digital castle.
What do you think of this 3D fan art piece? And, also, how badly do you want to play this game?
