Muggle Quidditch on the Bayou includes great matches between LSU and Texas University of Austin
The 2nd Annual Mardi Gras Cup was hosted by Louisiana State University (LSU) this past weekend as fans witnessed some excellent matches by all ten teams participating.
Two teams met in final match as Texas University of Austin defeated LSU 110-40 with LSU grabbing the snitch to end the match earning the final 30 points. (For those unfamiliar with Muggle Quidditch, the snitch is worth 30 points and not 150 as found in the Harry Potter series). The intensity throughout the tournament was at a fever pitch and teams like Sam Houston State University and Austin Quidditch came ready to play with great attitude and strategy. This was a fantastic tournament all around.
Texas Quidditch is ranked #4 in the World and LSU is currently #32, and we expect both teams to do exceptionally well in the Quidditch World Cup this April.
