Quidditch World Cup VI Pools are now selected – SnitchCenter weighs in on initial thoughts
Selection Saturday is the day that all of the teams are placed into their respective pools. These pools are critical to the overall success of the future Quidditch World Cup champion as they must successfully navigate through their own pool teams before being able to compete for the playoffs and the finals.
If you missed the layout of the pools as they were selected LIVE today, you can see the results here in MuggleNet’s SnitchCenter or on the IQA website.
Each pool has some terrific matchups and will be extremely competitive, but the pools that stood out to this editor and Quidditch fan, were Pools 6 and 7: These two pools are closely matched and could have surprising outcome with no clear-cut favorite.
Another pool to keep a close eye on will be Pool 12 with University of Miami as the favorite after their dominating performance in the Southern Regional Championships recently. However, with the high spirited play of Arizona State and LSU, this pool will be evenly matched in every game and could have a huge upset in the making.
No matter which team or teams you are rooting for, this Muggle Quidditch event is shaping up to be incredible in all avenues. If you can get to Kissimmee, Florida on the weekend of April 13 and 14, do yourself a favor and go root on the 80 teams of Quidditch World Cup VI, you won’t regret it!
