Theatrical trailer for Dan Radcliffe’s new play “The Cripple of Inishmaan” was recently released
Daniel Radcliffe is back on the West End in London! This time he’s portraying Billy, a disabled Irish boy making his way through life during the 1930s. Categorized as a dark comedy, The Cripple of Inishmaan is loosely based on the documentary The Man of Aran.
Previously criticized for his lackluster portrayal of the Irish, play writer Martin McDonagh sets The Cripple off the Irish Aran Islands. His depiction of life at this time in Ireland gives the audience an unflattering gaze into how difficult life was during World War II.
“A stupendous performance from Daniel Radcliffe…the finest piece of acting I have seen all year”
– The Sunday Telegraph
