MuggleNet says “Thank you for your service” to our friend Noah Fried
“Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life – think of it, dream of it, live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone.”
– Swami Vivekananda
Since the last Potter book came out six years ago, MuggleNet has come to evolve into a fan driven website. We, as a staff, are always trying to come up with new, fun ways to keep the fandom alive. Many of those great ideas came from Noah Fried, our very own Harry Potter look-alike.
After serving tirelessly as a volunteer staff member for many years, Noah was promoted to MuggleNet Management where he continued to excel in expanding and invigorating the Potter fandom. One of his most popular ideas was the creation of the wildly successful podcast Alohomora!, which is leading a global re-read of the Potter series. He also singlehandedly tripled the size of our Editorials & Fan Art sections, all while working on the podcast, building up the MuggleNet social media presence, and surviving his senior year at Muhlenberg University.
Now that he has graduated from college, Noah is ready to take on the Muggle world in the concrete jungle known as Manhattan. Unfortunately for us – and for you – that means Noah will be turning in his wand and wizard hat (mandatory dress code for all MuggleNet staff, don’t cha ya know!), and leaving us crazy wizards in the dust.
Noah, from all of us on staff, and on behalf of all of the MuggleNet fans that you touched, we say THANK YOU! You have been a brother and a friend to so many of us. Good luck in your future endeavors!
