Quiet in the Great Hall: MuggleNet O.W.L. exams are now in progress!
Like so many fans around the world, you have probably read the Harry Potter series multiple times, spent countless hours exploring the world created by author J.K. Rowling, and feel that you are extremely knowledgeable when it comes to the wizarding world and all of the subjects offered at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
After all of your studying, the time has come to see just how knowledgable you are. The Ordinary Wizarding Level examinations, or O.W.L.s, are now available right here on MuggleNet!
Please read these instructions before entering the Great Hall:
- The O.W.L. exams will be available from today (July 8) through Sunday, July 28.
- You must first register with the Ministry of Magic at the Great Hall entrance in order to receive your candidate number.
- Each exam can only be taken once per candidate number.
- Be sure to SAVE your candidate number; however, if you should lose it, we do have a candidate number retrieval process.
- These exams are timed exams: 50 question exams (Charms, Potions, Transfiguration, D.A.D.A., Care of Magical Creatures, and History of Magic) are 30 minutes long; and 25 question exams (Ancient Runes, Muggle Studies, Herbology, Arithmancy, Divination, and Astronomy) are 20 minutes long.
- Your results will be sent to you via e-owl upon completion of each exam.
- After taking your exams, feel free to tell us your results on our Facebook Page, or our Twitter account

Good luck to all witches and wizards!
