Chocolate Frog Cards
Dear Ron,
Hello, I’m just wondering if you know about Snape’s story? What do you think? Does it make you have greater respect for him?
Do you still have prejudice against Slytherin students? Because I’m in Slytherin House and it really breaks my heart if you say yes. (Just a matter of fact, I collect all Chocolate Frog Cards with your face on).
Sincerely,
FatSlytherin
Dear FatSlytherin,
After the Battle of Hogwarts, Harry was very determined to get Snape’s story out there and clear his name. He caused quite a stir and it was hard to convince some people. Harry came to Hermione and I first, and told us everything. I was sceptical myself at first that Snape could be a good guy, but as Harry went on I came to realise just how much Snape did for the Order and for Harry, and he deserves my respect. He definitely deserves his Order of Merlin. But that doesn’t mean I have to like him; he was still a pretty miserable git. Taking out frustration on innocent students is just wrong; the way he treated Harry and poor Neville will prevent me from ever LIKING the man.
As far as Slytherin goes, you have to admit that the war did not help their reputation. You Slytherins have one hell of a precedent to get around! While I was at school, I didn’t have much of a problem with Slytherin House in general as with Draco Malfoy and his band of tossers. They gave Slytherin a bad name. Over the last few years I do think Slytherin has gotten better at playing nice, and while they do have their special kind of prat, Slytherins are not all bad.
Cheers,
Ron
PS, a new series of Wizarding War 20th Anniversary cards are coming out next year so be sure you keep your eyes open for yours truly! Though maybe you should mind how many chocolate frogs you are eating…
