Dueling Fan

Dear Professor Flitwick,
I was going through some old photos and found some of you from when you were in your dueling prime. It got me wondering why you ever retired from that, and if it is frustrating just to teach after having such an exciting life.
Thanks,
Dueling Fan
Dear Dueling Fan,
While I did enjoy dueling in those days, it was a chaotic way to live. I had to travel all over, and it got tiresome after a while beating the same people again and again. Many duelists never did get their incantation pronunciation quite perfect, so it was a simple matter to overcome them as they struggle to compensate for their poor charming basics. I now quite enjoy teaching young students to cast properly, and am proud to say that MY students have excellent fundamentals and would beat the duelists of my day soundly. Teaching at Hogwarts is not always dull, either. I proudly fought in the battle of Hogwarts, and like all of the professors there, I am a steadfast defender of the school.
Warm regards,
Professor Flitwick
