“From The Rough”, Starring Tom Felton, Launches Marketing Campaign Ahead of Its 2014 Release
In the Rough, featuring Tom Felton as a budding British golfer, will see an early 2014 release date, Michael J. Critelli (Executive Producer) announced on Facebook yesterday.
Following a recent Indiegogo campaign, From the Rough is to receive a limited US theatrical release at the beginning of next year, before a DVD and digital release in May. In a statement posted on the film’s Facebook page, released to coincide with the 50th Anniversary of the March on Washington, Critelli also confirmed details concerning the film’s premiere.
From the Rough will premier on October 24 during a special event at Tennessee State University in Nashville for the historic inauguration of Dr. Glenda Baskin Glover the first full-time female president of the 100-year-old institution.
From the Rough also features Taraji P. Henson, Michael Clarke Duncan and LeToya Luckett and is based on the true story of Catana Starks. Starks was the first American woman to ever coach a college men’s golf team after taking “an unruly group of mismatched kids from around the world and [guiding] them to an all-time record at the PGA National Collegiate Minority Championship.”
