Students from NESCom casting now to recreate ‘The Tale of the Three Brothers’
The New England School of Communication (NESCom) has been granted the rights from WB and J.K. Rowling to create the short story film The Tale of the Three Brothers by author J.K. Rowling.
Last year, the school created Stephen King’s The Last Rung on the Ladder into a short fim, which now lead to this golden opportunity for the school.
Instructor Frank Welch stated:
“We’ve got rights, right now, to produce a short film based on the work of J.K. Rowling. Warner Brothers, who actually owns the Harry Potter world, actually gave us permission to take one of her short stories that comes from that world, and create a short film out of it. We’re really excited that this is going to be the first project the students in our video film track are able to use the Red Epic that we purchased, it’s coming this fall.”
However, in order to create a film, they need stars. Therefore, casting is now available for specific parts in the film and you can submit your information by heading to the NESCom website.
“The two main characters are going to be a small boy around the age of ten, eight, somewhere around there, as well as an older gentleman, who’s going to be playing his grandfather. Those are the two parts were looking for. We also have a couple of female parts around twenty years old, as well as a female part, and we’re also going to have a lot of extras that we’d like for a couple of key scenes.” – stated Senior Student Brandon Doyen.
