UPDATE: Full Theatrical Trailer for “Kill Your Darlings” now available!
As reported earlier this month, Kill Your Darlings will play at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival in September and the first official movie poster has been released.
Along with the official poster, a new clip from the film has also been released, showing Daniel Radcliffe in his role as American poet Allen Ginsberg. In the clip, Ginsberg is introduced to Lucien Carr, played by Dane DeHaan, at a library at Columbia University. Please note, there is mature language used in the clip that may not be suitable for the younger crowd – viewer discretion is advised.
Kill Your Darlings is based on the events leading to the 1944 murder of David Kammerer, who hosted parties for up and coming authors like Ginsberg, William S. Burroughs, and Jack Kerouac. The film will show at TIFF on September 10-11, with a theatrical release on October 18, 2013.
