Back-to-Hogwarts Week continues with MuggleNet’s Podcast family
We are continuing our Back-to-Hogwarts Week today by bringing your attention to the MuggleNet podcast family. Did you know that MuggleNet has FIVE podcasts?
MuggleCast, though recently ended, is still very much a part of the MuggleNet family. For eight years they enlightened listeners on everything from Nook 7 theories, to news about the Harry Potter films and just about everything else in between! Listeners can still download previously released episodes of the show.
MuggleNet Academia is a brilliant podcast hosted by Keith Hawk and the Hogwarts Professor, John Granger. It is a comprehensive insight into the literary thematic elements and scholastic endeavors that author J.K. Rowling has provided in her writings of the Harry Potter series. We look through the entire Hogwarts Saga series for various elements in alchemy, literary components, composition attributes, and a wide variety of academic specialties. Each show features a special guest who specializes in the topic being discussed and a student guest, which could be you! If you love the rich text of the Harry Potter books, then you will love the MuggleNet Academia podcast.
Alohomora! was crafted to fill the void left in the aftermath of the final Harry Potter movie release. Led by the rotating voices of the weekly podcast, fans can now reread the books alongside tens of thousands online. The podcast also has a real fan (yes, a real fan! YOU!) come on the show to share their own theories and partake in the fun by being a guest host! The hosts, Kat Miller, Caleb Graves, Eric Scull, Rosie Morris, and Laura Reilly, talk about Potter each week in a whole new way – including things like ghost nuns and liberating mandrakes. Special fandom guests (to name a few: Warwick Davis, Lev Grossman, and Ellie Darcey-Alden) are a staple of this show, so this is one conversation you won’t want to miss. Come join them as they open the Dumbledore!
The magic lives beyond the books with AudioFictions. This unique podcast brings stories from the MuggleNet Fan Fiction archives to life, with high-quality readings of your favorite stories written by the fandom! Hosted by voice actor Lupinpatronus and his talented team of MerMuggle Readers from all over the globe, the wizarding world has never sounded more alive. AudioFictions also holds contests for newcomers to have their stories featured, including their annual Halloween Drabble Contest! Follow the MerMuggles on Facebook and Twitter for all of the latest information, and listen to their latest episode right here!
Last but not least, the newest edition to the MuggleNet podcast family is Hogwarts Radio! The show is a general entertainment podcast and has been broadcasting to fans around the world since 2008. Hogwarts Radio covers everything from the latest Harry Potter news to the hottest discussion topics! Not only does the panel occasionally feature co-hosts from the podcasts mentioned above, but they also may surprise you with an occasional celebrity or two. Hogwarts Radio continues to release bi-weekly episodes and can be found on Facebook and Twitter.
