Beauxbatons Academy of Magic
Dear Hermione Granger,
Books are my best friends except two muggles that I went to school with. Now I just transferred from Beauxbatons Academy of Magic to Hogwarts in my second year and I get picked on for being the smartest in my year and having no friends that sit with me in the great hall. A little help please?
Sincerely,
Ravenclaw in a Hufflepuff’s body
Dear Ravenclaw in a Hufflepuff’s body,
I, like you, was often picked on in my first years at Hogwarts for not being ashamed to show my intelligence, and I often sat alone in the Great Hall. In fact, many people who have read Ms. Rowling’s books about Harry will remember that Ronald once called me “a nightmare” after I corrected him in Charms class. I understand how hard it can be when you feel like everyone around you dislikes you. But keep hope, because things are always changing, and they will get better. I wish I would have reached out to others earlier to try and make friends, and I suggest you do the same. It is, after all, a much safer way to meet your best friends then having them save you from a mountain troll in a bathroom!
Regards,
Hermione Granger
