David Tennant Among “Potter” Stars Joining “Doctor Who” Celebrations
Yesterday, BBC revealed the details for the immense celebrations seeking to “take over TV and radio” in order to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who. Among the names involved are Potter alumni David Tennant (Barty Crouch, Jr.), John Hurt (Garrick Ollivander), David Bradley (Argus Filch), and Warwick Davis (Griphook/Professor Flitwick).
As announced a few months back, David Tennant will reprise his role as the Tenth Doctor in the official anniversary episode. The 75-minute episode is to be entitled “The Day of the Doctor” and will air, as rumoured, on BBC One on November 23. The episode is also to star current Doctor and companion Matt Smith and Jenna-Louise Coleman as well as John Hurt.
The celebrations, however, don’t end there! As well as the An Adventure in Space and Time biopic, starring David Bradley as William Hartnell, Warwick Davis, who recently appeared in an episode of Doctor Who, is also getting in on the fun. 12 Again will bring together a number of actors and television personalities to talk about Doctor Who and their experiences of watching the show as children.
