“Look and feel” of the “Fantastic Beasts” film revealed
In wake of the initial flood of information about the new Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them film, this article provides a couple comments about the upcoming movie from J.K. Rowling and Kevin Tsujihara, Chief Executive Officer, Warner Bros. Entertainment.
When asked about the possibilities of using the original Potter film sets at Leavesdon Studios for the future films, Tsujihara simply stated that “the look and feel will be very similar” as of the original Potter movies. However according to Rowling herself the story is “neither a prequel nor a sequel to the Harry Potter series but an extension of the wizarding world.” And with the beginning of the film set in New York 70 years before Harry even knows about Hogwarts, there certainly will be some differences.
In addition to just the movies, future plans for Fantastic Beasts include the integration of the stories onto Pottermore and into the wizarding world theme parks. “The hope is that we’re going to build a film franchise,” Tsujihara commented.
