NEWS ALERT: Warner Bros. Trademarks “Quidditch Through the Ages”, “Tales of Beedle the Bard”, and MORE!
According to a new article, it has been revealed to us that Warner Bros. has added some MAJOR Harry Potter trademarks to their family.
Just over two weeks ago, we reported that Warner Bros. has expanded their creative partnership with J.K. Rowling to produce and deliver a new series of films called Fantastic Beasts that will document the life of Newt Scamander, the author of the schoolbook Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Now, we are learning that Warner Bros. has added the following trademarks to their possession: Quidditch Through the Ages, Newt Scamander, Wimbourne Wasps, Chudley Cannons, Kennilworthy Whisp (author of Quidditch Through the Ages), and Tales of Beedle the Bard.
Additionally, Warner Bros. reserves the rights with these trademarked names in the following areas:

This news comes as no surprise but is VERY exciting since it could mean additional film opportunities for the franchise in numerous ways. While we certainly hope for even more movies of the wizarding world, this news DOES NOT mean that Warner Bros. will in fact make anything other than the Fantastic Beasts film series, but we can certainly hope they make more films.
