Rupert Grint to take on the Bard?
According to an article posted today by the Hollywood Reporter, Rupert Grint is rumored to have a role in a modern-day adaptation of Shakespeare’s Macbeth that is scheduled to begin filming in January 2014.
While his role remains unconfirmed for now, the prospect of Rupert acting alongside the likes of Sean Bean as the titular character and Charles Dance as the King of Scotland, both of HBO’s popular book-to-television series Game of Thrones, is very exciting. Rupert continues to build his acting résumé by choosing roles that are far from our beloved Ronald Weasley.
As reported at the end of last month, DirecTV is premiering CBGB before it is released in theaters, allowing subscribers to see Rupert in his role as punk guitarist Cheetah Chrome. It was also confirmed in July that he will make his stage debut as a pill-popping criminal in the play Mojo.
