Six out of seven “Potter” books rank as favorites among UK children in new survey
In a new list compiled by online education company Renaissance Learning, six of the seven Harry Potter books ranked among the favorite books of UK children.
The study looked at the reading habits of more than 400,000 children in 2,000 primary and secondary schools in the UK, with children being asked to vote for their favourites.
Tied for first place are Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, and Catching Fire (Suzanne Collins). Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets tied for fourth place with Inheritance (Christopher Paolini), while Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban tied for sixth place along with five other books. The only Potter book not to appear on the list is Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
