Miriam Margolyes joins new breast cancer campaign

Miriam Margolyes, who portrayed Professor Pomona Sprout in the Harry Potter films, is the face of a new breast cancer awareness campaign. The campaign, titled “Be Clear on Cancer,” is targeted at women over the age of 70.

Margolyes, who is 72 years old, stated,

“I have always had big boobs, and I want to hang on to them. My advice – be vigilant and get checked out if you’re concerned – it could save your breasts and your life.”

EastEnders star Barbara Windsor is also a face of the campaign, which encourages older women to be vigilant in checking for the early signs of breast cancer. You can find more information about the campaign on the UK Cancer Research website.
