J.K. Rowling supports Euan’s Guide
J.K. Rowling has officially endorsed Euan’s Guide, a brand new website set up by Euan, who suffers from Motor Neurone Disease, and his sister Kiki. As seen in the picture above, Jo attended the official launch of the site, which took place at the Scottish Parliament this week. The site is a “directory on disabled access that we were keen to share with others with accessibility needs.”
The site further states,
the goal of Euan’s Guide is to provide a friendly, honest & empowering alternative to hours of web searching and phone calls and most importantly remove the ‘fear of the unknown’ when visiting a venue for the first time.”
Jo said,
I’m delighted to endorse Euan’s Guide and to congratulate him on launching this pioneering website. I know, through meeting many people with MS who have disabilities, that there is a dearth of independent and unofficial information about venues and their accessibility. A friendly and straightforward guide, with information from users themselves, is an empowering development to be heartily recommended.”
